His Eminence Mr. Mohamad Ali El Husseini, Secretary General of the Arab Islamic Council, met with His Excellency Counselor Dr. Mohammad Abdel Salam at the Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, and they discussed ways to strengthen Islamic brotherhood, the importance of relying on the discourse of approved Islamic authorities that follow centrist and moderate approaches, the necessity of combating extremism and abhorrent sectarianism, and confronting the discourse of Hatred and sedition.

They stressed the importance of relying on the two documents on human brotherhood and the Mecca Document, because they constitute an approved reference that carries a comprehensive vision and common goals that benefit humanity, through their dedication to the Islamic values ​​of openness and dialogue instead of mutual rivalry and hatred, for the sake of the ultimate goal, which is to build the earth with peace among peoples.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Counselor Abdul Salam presented to El Husseini his book entitled The Imam and the Pope, and in turn, Mr. El Husseini presented his book, Landmarks of Human Values ​​in the Mecca Civilizational Document
